First performance of King Henry VIII’s Apologia, a secular anthem commissioned by the choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. Written for the celebrations of the 450th anniversary of the foundation of Christ Church, Oxford. Premiered by the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, directed by Stephen Darlington.

First performance of Veni Sancte Spiritus (anthem for upper voices and organ) by the Choir of Salisbury Cathedral, directed by Richard Seal.

First performances of the Glasgow Anthems ; five new anthems commissioned by the Episcopal Cathedral of St Mary, Glasgow, in celebration of the re-dedication and restoration of the cathedral. One anthem subsequently performed at the St Magnus Festival, Orkney, directed by Fridrik Walker.

Recording of For Lo, The Days Come, an anthem commissioned by the Arcadian Singers of Oxford University, directed by Matthew O’Donovan. CD commercially released on the Lammas label.

First performance of Five Elizabethan Lyrics at the Jacqueline du Pre Concert Hall, Oxford. Commissioned and premiered by the Clerks of Christ Church, Oxford. Subsequently performed by them at the Newbury Spring Festival.

First performance of Eternall Lyght Doth Nowe Appeare by the Bristol Bach Choir, who commissioned the work. Directed by Peter Leech.

Spirit of Mercy : performed by the Chamber Choir of South Africa, directed by Michael Dingaan, at the Ceremony for the Official Inauguration of the new President of South Africa. Subsequently performed at City Hall, Johannesburg; the ZK Matthews Hall, Pretoria (at the ISCM New Music Festival); the Myriam Makeba Hall, Pretoria; and the Classic FM Soiree at Summer Place, Johannesburg.

Requiem given its world premiere by the Chamber Choir of South Africa and the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra at the Linder Auditorium, Johannesburg. Performed again by the same forces at the ZK Matthews Great Hall, The University of South Africa, Pretoria. Directed by Michael Dingaan.

12 Short Interludes for Organ : world premiere at the Annual Festival of New Organ Music in London, performed by Iain Farrington on the Rieger Organ of St Marylebone Parish Church.

Spirit of Mercy performed by the Chamber Choir of South Africa at the Cape Festival of Voices, and broadcast on ZDF Arte (German Television) on 13th June, to co-incide with the opening of the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Psalm Prelude, for Organ and Strings. Premiered by Theo van Wyk (organ) and the Goldberg String Quartet at St George’s Anglican Church, Johannesburg, on Easter Day.

Ex Ore Innocentium. Commissioned for the 2013 London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, and first performed in May 2013, by the Choir of St Pancras Church, London, directed by Christopher Batchelor

Chorale Sonata (in the version for Violoncello and Piano) premiered by Susan Mouton and Annelien Ball at the Rand Club Chamber Music Series, on 21st July 2013.

Rise, heart, thy Lord is risen. Commissioned for the 2014 London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, and first performed in May 2014 by the choir of St. Pancras Church, London, at the National Gallery, London.

Evening Canticles – Frankfurt. Premiered by The English Choir, Berlin, at the Schloss-Kirche Wittenberg, and then performed again at the Kaiserdom, Berlin, in June 2014.

Nocturnus I-IV. Four works for chamber forces. Premiered variously at the Rand Club Chamber Music Series and the Wakkerstroom Music Festival in February, March, and April 2014.

Veni Sancte Spiritus. Premiere of the version for Soprano Solo, Viola, and Organ, in Grahamstown Cathedral, South Africa, in October 2014.

Two Descants. The first premiered in Kimberley Cathedral, South Africa in July 2014. The second premiered in the Kaiserdom, Berlin, in April 2014.

King Henry VIII’s Apologia. Performed by the Choir of the 21st Century on 27th September 2014, conducted by Howard Williams, as part of the 80th birthday celebrations of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.

Twelve Anglo Saxon Sentences. Premiered at the inaugural concert of the St. George’s Chamber Choir, Johannesburg, South Africa, in December 2014.

2015
Fantasia 150. Performed in May 2015 by Christian Wilson on the organ of the University Chapel at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Sonata for Violin and Organ. Performed in May 2015 at the English Music Festival, by Rupert Marshall-Luck (Violin) and Duncan Honeybourne (Organ).

Rex Gloriae. Commissioned for, and premiered at, the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, with the choir of St. Pancras Church, London, conducted by Christopher Batchelor. Broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. May 2015.

A Prayer of St. Columba. UK premiere in June 2015 by the Choir of Jesus College, Cambridge, conducted by Mark Williams.

Sonata for Violin and Organ. Appears on CD entitled ‘King of Instruments, Instrument of Kings’, and becomes Classic FM disc of the week.

Suite – King Richard III. Premiered in September 2015 at the English Music Festival in Yorkshire, by the work’s dedicatee, Rupert Marshall-Luck.
